The annual Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF), which will take place from 11-13 June 2025 at the Bali International Convention Centre, Nusa Dua, is setting its sights to attract high-quality tourists to Indonesia by showing the country’s unique offerings to the global market.
The event, organised by the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA), aims to bring in 450 buyers from 45 countries and 300 sellers to promote Indonesian tourism.
The chairman of the BBTF 2025 committee, I Putu Winastra, shared the importance of the event during a recent press conference for the Road to BBTF 2025 at Griya Santrian Beach Resort & Spa in Denpasar, Bali.
Putu Winastra, who also chairs ASITA Bali, outlined the three main programmes featured at the event, including a post-tour signature programme, talk shows and knowledge sharing, and networking & exhibition.
“These programmes aim to enhance international networks and promote Indonesian tourism to the public in 38 participating countries,” Winastra added.
A tourism driver
The 11th edition of BBTF carries the theme: "Indonesia: Preserving Green Nature and Cultural Heritage for the World". The fair will showcase top destinations, including Labuan Bajo, Mandalika, Lake Toba, and Borobudur, offering a glimpse into Indonesia’s diverse offerings.
Exhibitors will showcase offerings including spiritual and wellness, medical and health, adventure, and luxury tourism, sectors that align with the growing traveller demand for exclusive accommodations, premium services, and personalised experiences.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Enik Ermawati, who also attended the press conference, affirmed the government's full support for the event. She emphasised that BBTF is a key driver for increasing both domestic and international tourist visits to Indonesia, particularly to Bali. The government has set a target of welcoming between 14.6 million and 16 million foreign tourists in 2025.
“BBTF is one of the largest travel fairs in Indonesia, with the number of visitors growing year after year. It has proven to be an effective promotional platform for Indonesia,” she stated.
The BBTF committee anticipates a 10-13% increase in B2B transactions at BBTF 2025 compared to the previous year, reflecting the growing importance of the event in tourism business development.
