The Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF) 2024, the country’s first-ever B2B international travel show,
will be taking place from 2-4 October at the Swissotel PIK in Jakarta.
Featuring a diverse range of tourism products and components, WITF will
connect international and national buyers with exhibitors from
Indonesia’s tourism service providers.
Owned by GIPI (Confederation of Indonesia Tourism Associations)
endorsed by Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (MOTCE), this fair
has generated significant interest from foreign buyers and will be
expected to strengthen the promotion of Indonesia’s leading tourist
destinations while encouraging further investment in the tourism sector.
Budi Tirtawisata, chairman of the WITF 2024 steering committee,
shared that 195 buyers from 38 countries will attend the event to
explore tourism programmes, incentive trips, and business-related
components for resale in their respective markets.
Hariyadi Sukamdani, Chairman of GIPI, emphasised the strategic
importance of WITF 2024 in reinforcing Indonesia’s position as a premier
global tourist destination and fostering sustainable and quality
tourism growth.
During WITF, participants will showcase their best tourism products
and services through B2B sessions and networking opportunities. Seminars
and talk shows will also be held to discuss the latest trends in the
global tourism industry and innovations in destination marketing
strategies.
Vinsensius Jemadu, deputy for tourism products and events at
Indonesia’s MOCTE said: “This year’s WITF will be a significant moment
in revitalising Indonesia's tourism post-pandemic. We hope to facilitate
productive and mutually beneficial cooperation between industry players
in Indonesia and abroad.”
Currently, tourism product and service providers may still register for WITF 2024 as exhibitors and sellers at the conference.
