On World Tourism Day, TTC Tour Brands (comprising Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Costsaver, and Contiki) has announced a commitment to sustainable tourism by pledging donations for every booking made between 27 September and 4 October 2024.

The donations will support two nature-based solutions initiatives: GreenWave’s Kelp Farming Project and Rainforest Rescue’s Daintree Project.

The theme for this year’s World Tourism Day, “Tourism and Peace,” highlights travel’s role in fostering tolerance and understanding among nations.

Mae Cheah, Managing Director of TTC Tour Brands, Asia, stated, “At TTC Tour Brands, responsible tourism isn't just a philosophy, it's a promise. We want to ensure that the joy of travel can be experienced by future generations.” She added that their partnerships with GreenWave and Rainforest Rescue focus on carbon removal and real environmental change.

Travel agents who are promoting TTC Tour Brands to their clients can highlight that each itinerary includes at least one MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience, connecting guests with local communities while advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

TTC Tour Brands' five-year How We Tread Right (HWTR) sustainability strategy addresses the impact of their business and trips, aligning with UN SDGs.

Cheah concluded, “The donations we’re making for each booking this week are our way of saying thank you to our Travel advisor partners, guests, and suppliers who support our sustainability journey.”
