Thailand is making history – and a whole lot of fabulous noise – this June with the launch of its first-ever Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival, a month-long Pride celebration set to dazzle the nation and the world.
From the rainbow-filled streets of Bangkok to the beaches of Phuket and the mountains of Chiang Mai, the festival will feature parades, drag shows, cultural showcases and more, uniting communities under the banner of love, equality and fabulousness. It’s part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, and yes, it’s just as epic as it sounds.
“This festival is more than a celebration – it is a reflection of our national values,” said Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai at the launch event. “Thailand stands proudly for human rights, gender equality, and the freedom to love.”
Hot on the heels of the country’s landmark marriage equality law passed earlier this year – making Thailand the first Southeast Asian country to legally recognise same-sex marriages – this Pride festival also marks the country’s official debut as a global Pride destination.
With parties in Pattaya, Phuket, Samui, Ubon, and more, tourism leaders are counting on the festival to spark economic activity across regions. “It’s not just about the glitz – this is a tourism driver that uplifts communities,” said Minister of Tourism Sorawong Thienthong.
Expect themed tours, rainbow packages, and hotel deals galore. “We stand for love without labels, equality without exception, and diversity without compromise,” said Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool.
