FCM Travel, a global corporate travel management company, has
unveiled a new 'Approvals' feature for its FCM Platform. The new feature
aims to simplify travel approvals across multiple booking channels and
countries.
John Morhous, chief experience officer at Flight Centre Travel Group -
Corporate Brands, explained, "FCM Approvals is a new and innovative
feature in Platform that simplifies travel approvals. Many of our
customers follow a best-in-market approach in terms of regional booking
technology and this adds complexity to managing approvals on a global
level."
The system centralises control over travel activities by mirroring
online and offline approval flows. It's designed to provide a consistent
process for managing travel approvals across different booking channels
and countries.
Nichola Rimmer, category manager of travel & events at JTI, a
pilot customer, stated, "We needed a concise notification of booked
travel for line managers and travellers in more than 60 countries. Our
personalised solution has allowed us to start providing concise, useful
information to help travellers and line managers make value-add
decisions."
The initial rollout of FCM Approvals will cover 35 countries, with
plans to expand globally. The company will first implement the feature
with existing customers, targeting new customer onboarding for the
upcoming calendar year.
FCM Travel operates in 95 countries and is part of the Flight Centre
Travel Group. The company has recently introduced several proprietary
client solutions, including a new omnichannel platform and FCM Booking,
an alternative to traditional online booking tools.
