BCD Travel has released its Cities & Trends 2023 Asia Pacific Report, highlighting the most visited cities and countries for business travel in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

The report, based on BCD flight and rail data from 2023 across various APAC markets, provides insights into both regional and intercontinental travel trends.

Regional:

Singapore has emerged as the leading destination for APAC business travelers, reclaiming its position as a major hub for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions post-pandemic. The city-state has maintained its status as the primary financial center in the region and now ranks as Asia's top financial center and third globally.

The report notes that Singapore was the most visited APAC country in 2023, followed by China. However, China's international travel recovery has been slower than its domestic travel rebound following the end of its zero-Covid policy. Domestic air travel in China is currently 17% above 2019 levels, while international air travel continues to recover.

Globally, the United States remains the most visited country for business travel, followed by Germany. This aligns with the presence of four American cities in the top 10 intercontinental destinations list.
