Royal Caribbean’s furry crew recently grew a little bigger when their two Chief Dog Officers, Rover and Sailor, met for the very first time onboard the Icon of the Seas during a sailing from Miami.

Rover, who has been cruising since the Icon of the Seas launched earlier this year, welcomed Sailor aboard. The pair spent their inaugural time together on the ship, enjoying some quality doggy moments and plenty of tail wags.

Sailor is the newest recruit, preparing to join Royal Caribbean’s upcoming ship, Star of the Seas, which is set to debut in August 2025 from Port Canaveral, Florida. She’s been training hard to bring the same friendly energy and charm that Rover is known for.

These canine crew members are more than just cute faces. They’re part of Royal Caribbean’s effort to make family cruises even more special. Both dogs are trained in partnership with the American Humane Society, ensuring they’re happy, healthy, and guest-friendly.

The Chief Dog Officers also have their own Instagram account, @‌chiefdogofficers – dubbed The Goodest Girls at Sea – where they share their cruise adventures with fans.
