Homm, part of the Banyan Group’s multi-brand ecosystem, has opened the Homm Souvannaphoum Luang Prabang in Laos. Formerly the residence of Prince Souvanna Phouma, the new property combines French colonial architecture with traditional Lao design.
Located centrally in Luang Prabang, the hotel offers easy access to attractions such as the Mekong River and Mount Phou Si. Guests can explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and surrounding villages at their leisure using the hotel’s complimentary bicycle rentals.
Philip Lim, Senior Vice President of Banyan Group, shared that the Homm brand aims to provide guests a sense of home with unique experiences. “Luang Prabang’s rich cultural heritage makes it an ideal location for the Homm brand,” he noted.
The hotel features 24 spacious accommodations, each with private balconies, and is set within lush tropical gardens, complete with a spa and swimming pool. Room sizes range from 29 sqm to 34 sqm, designed to create a comfortable atmosphere with amenities such as soothing showers and cosy beds.
Unique features include the Laos Suite, former bedroom of Prince Souvanna Phoumma, and a hospitality-focused design that incorporates an origami emblem of the critically endangered clouded leopard.
Dining at Elephant Blanc offers a mix of Western and Laotian cuisine, including regional specialties. For a cultural dining experience, guests can choose a royal Laotian tasting menu with 10 courses offering the best regional flavours condensed into one memorable meal.
Nestled within the garden grounds is 8LEMENTS Spa, which offers treatments such as Inner Calm, Island Dew, and Energy Flow to calm the senses and soothe the body as well as facials, body scrubs and body conditioners.
