With queue times that stretch well past the two-hour mark and lines snaking out several kilometres from the entrance, Fantasy Springs – Tokyo DisneySea’s newest addition – isn’t just another themed land. It’s a phenomenon. And for many visitors, getting into the park is only half the battle.
Since opening in June 2024, Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea has become the stuff of both dreams and frustration. It’s not just insanely popular – it’s notoriously difficult to get into. And here’s the kicker: having a regular ticket to Tokyo DisneySea doesn’t guarantee entry to Fantasy Springs at all.
So what’s the hype?

Fantasy Springs is the resort’s biggest expansion ever, and it’s packed with cinematic eye candy. The new zone features three themed areas based on Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan – each with its own headline ride and storybook-perfect landscapes.
Think snow-covered Arendelle with Elsa belting “Let It Go” mid-ride, glowing lanterns lighting up the night as Rapunzel sings, and a flight over Never Land that feels straight out of your childhood dreams.
But all that magic has created a major bottleneck – because Disney’s not letting everyone in.
How to get into Fantasy Springs

Here’s where things get tricky. Tokyo Disney Resort has introduced a multi-tiered access system to manage the overwhelming demand:
Standby pass: This is the free timed-entry system accessed via the Tokyo Disney Resort app. It opens in the morning on the day of your visit—but they’re usually snapped up within minutes, sometimes seconds. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Disney premier access: Think of this as a paid fast pass. Guests can purchase timed access to the main attractions within Fantasy Springs – but again, supply is ultra-limited, and bookings typically sell out shortly after the park opens.
Vacation packages: These are bundled hotel-and-ticket deals sold through the official Tokyo Disney Resort website and select authorised sellers. They’re the only guaranteed way to get into Fantasy Springs without gambling on same-day app reservations. The catch? They sell out months in advance and can be tricky to secure without early planning.
Fantasy Springs hotel: A new perk exclusive to guests staying at the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, which sits at the land’s entrance. Rooms come with included timed-entry passes – but availability is tight and prices are steep.
With such a complex (and frankly stressful) system in place, most casual travellers don’t even realise they need to book their Fantasy Springs access separately. For those in the know – especially travel agents who can access vacation packages or pre-arranged entitlements – this is an opportunity to sell to Disney fans.
After all, there’s no bigger disappointment than arriving at DisneySea, seeing the glowing waterfalls of Fantasy Springs just beyond the gates... and being told you can’t go in. Planning ahead for travellers isn’t just a suggestion anymore – it’s the only way to turn that fantasy into reality.
