The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has suspended The UFO Traveler Pte Ltd (travel agent licence number 03214) from operating as a travel agency, effective 28 January 2025. The suspension was imposed due to the company’s failure to submit its audited statement of accounts (AA) within the required timeframe.

Under the Travel Agents Regulations 2017, all licensed travel agencies in Singapore must submit their AA within six months after the close of their financial year. This requirement ensures financial transparency and accountability, helping regulators assess a company’s financial health and its ability to meet customer obligations. Failure to comply raises concerns about financial stability and consumer protection.

The suspension will remain in place until The UFO Traveler submits its AA or for a maximum of six months, whichever comes first. While the company is barred from accepting new bookings during this period, it must continue to fulfil existing commitments to customers.

STB has emphasised its commitment to maintaining industry standards and warns that it will take necessary action against non-compliant travel agents. Consumers are advised to check the Travel Related Users’ System (TRUST) website for the latest list of licensed travel agencies.
