Momentus Hotels & Resorts stands out in the dynamic hospitality landscape by putting thoughtful service, genuine connections, and Singaporean efficiency at its core. While Momentus Hotels & Resorts is a new brand founded in 2022, its management brings extensive experience and a strong pedigree. The brand is part of SingHaiyi, a diversified real estate company with a portfolio spanning property development, investment, hospitality and management services across Singapore, Australia, and the Maldives.  

Industry veteran Angeline Tan leads the brand as senior vice president of SingHaiyi Hospitality and senior vice president of Momentus Hospitality, bringing to life SingHaiyi’s vision—developed over a decade of hotel ownership in the Asia Pacific region—to fill a gap in the upscale hospitality space. “At Momentus Hotels & Resorts, we believe in dialling up each moment our guests have chosen to spend with us,” said Tan.

Hotels rooted in unique locales

In Singapore, Momentus Hotels & Resorts has established two key properties. The flagship Momentus Hotel Alexandra, a 442-room hotel in Queenstown, Singapore’s first satellite town, is a vibrant neighbourhood brimming with local charm. At this outpost, the Alexandra Village Food Centre’s array of local delicacies, the lush tropical greenery of HortPark or Singapore’s resort island of Sentosa are just but a short distance away.  

The hotel comes with rooms offering views of the surrounding area, recreational facilities including a 25-metre infinity pool, three curated F&B outlets, and flexible meeting spaces with state-of-the-art equipment. The Momentum Club on the topmost floor, offers Club guests private check-in, dining, and spectacular city views.

A second property, the 99-unit Momentus Serviced Residences Novena, sits in the charming neighbourhoods of Novena and Balestier, with the Novena MRT station, Whampoa Food Centre, shopping malls and six nearby medical hubs at its doorstep. The fully furnished apartments, a majority of which feature balconies, are kitted out to foster a restorative stay with ample amenities, including uncapped facilities. Guests can enjoy access to a swimming pool, fitness room and outdoor terrace on level two, as well as a BBQ area and garden on the rooftop level.   

Meanwhile, the fast-growing group has unveiled plans to launch its third outpost and first overseas property in the northern Australia hub of Darwin. Set to complete by end-2026, the 236-room hotel will be part of the reimagined Darwin Waterfront masterplan, situated close to the Darwin Convention Centre.

Commitment to sustainability and doing good

The mindful use of resources is central to every aspect of operations at Momentus Hotels & Resorts, aligning with its commitment to being ‘good by nature’. This ethos is evident in the strategic use of environmentally sustainable materials, energy-efficiency practices, and extensive waste reduction efforts across its properties.   

Momentus Hotel Alexandra’s design emphasises natural ventilation and incorporates nature elements, with open spaces promoting airflow and versatile functionalities. The Veranda Rooftop Rotisserie, for example, has a hydroponic corner supplying the hotel’s kitchens with salad greens and herbs. To reduce the use of single-use plastics, water filtration taps are installed in all guestrooms, F&B outlets and event spaces while bathroom amenities such as toothbrushes, combs and cotton buds are made from biodegradable materials.

Momentus Serviced Residences Novena, meanwhile, has achieved the highest greenery rating under Singapore’s Green Mark Scheme by the Urban Redevelopment Authority, with 40% of its surroundings dedicated to lush green spaces.   

Both properties use bamboo keycards, and wet bath amenities such as shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner are provided in wall-mounted dispensers to minimise single-use plastic bottles.
