RateHawk, an online booking system for travel professionals, has
established its first Asian headquarters in Singapore. The move aims to
serve travel agents across the region with a localised platform offering
hotel, flight, and transfer bookings.
The company's platform, now available in Thai, Chinese, and Korean,
provides access to 2.5 million accommodations worldwide, flights from
over 400 airlines, and transfers in 150 countries. RateHawk offers
dedicated language support in Thai and Korean during business hours,
alongside a 24/7 multi-language support line.
The new Singaporean entity will enable payment transactions in local
currencies, including Singapore Dollar, Thai Baht, and Malaysian
Ringgit.
Felix Shpilman, CEO of Emerging Travel Group, stated: "We expect that
our new legal entity in Singapore will significantly enhance the user
experience for partners in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. For us,
launching this hub means laying the foundation to become the leading
preferred B2B booking platform in Asia."
RateHawk has deployed a commercial team of over 30 people to oversee
operations in South-East, South, and East Asia. The company plans to
expand its team further to support travel agencies across the continent.
Jennifer Chua, head of business development Southeast Asia,
commented: "RateHawk is perfectly positioned to meet the needs of travel
agencies and operators of all sizes, including collaborations through
API and tech platforms."
RateHawk, launched in 2016, now has over 70,000 travel professional
partners worldwide. The company is part of Emerging Travel Group, which
reported a gross transaction value of US$2.6 billion in 2023.
