Oceania Cruises’ new Asia team takes the helm

Oceania Cruises has announced key appointments to its Asia sales team as part of its growth strategy in the region. Two new business development managers (BDMs) will oversee markets in Singapore and Hong Kong, while a new director of sales Asia Pacific has been named.

James Sitters, who has been with Oceania Cruises for nearly eight years, has been promoted to director of sales Asia Pacific. Based in Australia, Sitters previously managed sales across Australia and New Zealand.

Dominic Tan has been appointed business development manager of Southeast & South Asia. Based in Singapore, Tan boasts over 15 years of experience across Southeast Asia, and has previously held leadership positions in travel and technology firms, including Easybook.com and WTS Travel & Tours. Speaking about his new role, he remarked: “I am honoured to take on this new challenge driving development of one of the world’s most admired cruise lines.”

Fiona Chu will manage business development efforts in Hong Kong. A graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chu has held sales and marketing roles at Procter & Gamble and Agoda International. Commenting on her appointment, she said: “I look forward to nurturing key relationships with our travel advisors and building new partnerships in the next phase of Oceania Cruises’ growth in the region.”

Jason Worth, Oceania Cruises’ Vice President of International Sales, highlighted the significance of the appointments, stating: “Our robust new sales team will ensure our award-winning cruise brand continues to go from strength to strength in the region.”
