Accor has expanded its Mercure brand in South Korea with the opening of Mercure Ambassador Seoul Magok, now the largest hotel in Seoul's Gangseo District. Situated in the Magok area, a growing hub of innovation, the hotel combines modern amenities with local design elements inspired by Korean culture.
The hotel features 400 guestrooms and suites, including options tailored for various needs. Junior and Executive Suites include separate living areas for extended stays or business travellers, while Deluxe Triple Rooms cater to families or groups. Select rooms offer views of Seoul Botanic Park or the rooftop gardens.
For dining, Moasis, the hotel’s all-day restaurant, serves seasonal dishes in a light-filled setting, while M Lounge & Bar provides wines, cocktails, and light bites. Wellness facilities include an indoor pool with natural lighting and a fitness centre.
Mercure Ambassador Seoul Magok is strategically located, with Magoknaru Station on Subway Line 9 just five minutes away on foot. Gimpo International Airport is a 10-minute drive, while Incheon International Airport is 40 minutes by car, offering convenient connections to major Seoul districts such as Gangnam, Myeongdong, and Hongdae.
“The opening of Mercure Ambassador Seoul Magok marks a significant milestone in strengthening our presence in Seoul, one of Asia's most dynamic and high-potential cities,” said Garth Simmons, chief operating officer of Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division in Asia.
Yoon-Jung Lee, the hotel’s general manager, added, “Our goal is to provide a memorable experience that captures the spirit of this vibrant district, offering a comfortable and inviting space for both leisure and business travellers.”
