A supermarket best known for its discounted centre aisle sales of items such as gardening tools, cleaning aids and even pizza ovens, wants to shake up online travel booking by offering sharply discounted deals through the Ignite Travel Group.
On its website, Ignite says it is offering benefits beyond those available elsewhere for corporate clients, retail customers and tourism partners.
Among Aldi recent specials is a 10-day China Great Wall and Warriors tour and deals for stays at the Grand Mirage Hotel, Bali; Novotel Phuket Kata Avista Resort and the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort.
Aldi Holidays is also offering cruise deals through the Pacific Islands onboard Ovation of the Seas, and a 14-night Japan tour onboard Celebrity Millennium.
Aldi says its exclusive deals are “jam-packed with more frills and quality extras” and it is “taking off in a new direction to make planning and booking a holiday a more enjoyable experience for Australians”.
Aldi Australia group director, Rodney Balech, added, “We’re bringing our Special Buys to the skies, offering savvy travellers premium holiday options. From budget-friendly bliss to extravagant escapes, there are different levels of luxury for every keen explorer.”
